Renaissance Vineyard

The Renaissance Vineyard was planted in 1975-1982. Varieties are planted in carefully selected microclimates and soil combinations to maximize their potential. We practice organic viticulture, and use no pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides other than elemental sulfur. The combination of poor soils and old vines limits our yields to well below 1.5 tons per acre on average. (In comparison, Napa Valley averages about 4 tons per acre.)

What makes our wine distinctive
Our unique terroir leaves its unmistakable signature in each of our wines. Regardless of the variety, all tend to be concentrated, intensely flavored, with pure fruit aromas, a marked spicy/minerally side, and a powerful structure. Consequently, Renaissance wines have  outstanding aging potential, and increase in complexity and harmony over the course of many years in the bottle. Even our white wines age exceedingly well, developing rich honeyed, nutty flavors with extended cellaring.

The Estate Wine Tasting $10 per person*

Our wine tasting experts will guide you through five Renaissance estate wines selected from our current releases. This professionally conducted tasting takes place in our beautiful lakeside Wine Tasting Room. You will have the opportunity to purchase our best wine selections including our latest releases and and exclusive Tasting Room offerings.

The Reserve Wine Tasting
$20 per person*

Prepare your senses for a remarkable treat. Enjoy a privileged experience of our mountain terroir wines, limited production bottlings. Learn about our winemaker's aims and philosophy while exploring five of our Vin de Terroir series and other Reserve-level wines.

The Wine & Roses Tasting
$25-$35 per person*
Garden Tour & Wine Tasting. Includes your choice of an Estate or Reserve level wine tasting with a Rose Garden Tour. Enjoy the fragrance and meticulous cultivation of more than 300 varieties of roses, labeled by name for your enjoyment. Stroll through two formal European-style rose gardens, patterned after La Roserie Bagatelle in Paris. Hundreds of palms line elegantly paved boulevards. Some of the most unusual varieties from different climatic regions throughout the world are featured. Gilded French street lamps warmly illuminate these boulevards at dawn and dusk. Tours are typically 45 minutes long.

  • Bring your own Picnic Lunch.
  • Lakeside Mediterranean Picnic Lunch. Dine in the tranquility of our lakeside tasting room. Includes a guided appreciation of the five wines married with your delicious lunch. $15.00 per person.(min 6 people) Call to reserve.
  • 2-course Gourmet Picnic Lunch $23.00 per person (min. 10 persons).Call to reserve.
  • 3-course Gourmet Picnic Lunch $31.00 per person (min. 10 persons).Call to reserve.

Merge onto I-5 N/CA-99 North. 6.1 miles.
(Keep RIGHT on CA-70 toward MARYSVILLE where CA-99 splits off toward Yuba City.)
Merge onto CA-70 North toward YUBA CITY/MARYSVILLE. 34.4 miles.
Turn RIGHT onto CA-20/CA-70 at 9TH ST. 0.2 miles
Follow CA-20 around the lake and out of town: Turning LEFT at B ST. 0.2 miles. Turning RIGHT at 12TH ST. 11.7 miles.
Turn LEFT onto MARYSVILLE RD at the Browns Valley Chevron gas station. 11.3 miles.
Turn RIGHT to continue on MARYSVILLE RD/CR-E20. 2.5 miles.
Turn RIGHT onto RICES CROSSING RD.
Proceed 3 miles to Gate House.

Oroville to Oregon House via Scenic Olive Highway:
Take the OROVILLE BANGOR HWY. 6.6 miles, heading East.
OROVILLE BANGOR HWY becomes LOS VERJELES RD. at the Bangor 4 corners.
Continue East until you reach Loma Rica Rd., Turn Left, drive 1+ miles to Marysville Rd.
Turn LEFT onto MARYSVILLE RD.
After 3 miles, MARYSVILLE RD/CR-E20. bears to the right, at the Willow Glen Restaurant (Green in color)...
Turn RIGHT onto RICES CROSSING RD.
Proceed 3 miles to Gate House.

Grass Valley to Oregon House:
Turn RIGHT onto CA-20 W. proceed appx. 24 miles.
Turn RIGHT onto Marysville RD at Browns Valley/Chevron station, proceed appx. 12 miles.
Marysville Rd. bears to the right at the Green-colored Willow Glen Restaurant...
Turn RIGHT onto RICES CROSSING RD.
Proceed 3 miles to Renaissance Gate House.
