Diana Werner, the wife of our first Winemaker Karl Werner who passed in the late 80's, deserves all the praise for this beauty. Diana’s wines are noted for their delicate aromas and finely tuned balance of acid and sugar as represented here. Wonderfully pure flavors of burnt orange peel, dried mango, and other exotic tropicals. An incredibly impressive and mysterious wine. The flavors lean towards tropical fruits with a long, long, refreshing finish.
At our first barrel tasting in the Spring of 2014, during our Annual Wine Trail event, we pre-sold cases of this lovely wine which was just delivered this spring, 2015. Tasted with some lovely cheese at that event, hardly any one of our 200+ guests left without procuring at least one bottle.
